AI Providers
AI Providers are the organisations or entities that create the various Models and variations that allow you to use GenAI and obtain tailored results to your needs.
From Text-to-Text chats, to Text-to-Image generators, or Image-to-Video, these are all thanks to the amazing Engineering teams in the AI Frontier-Model Engineering Community.
It is important to keep in mind they will be built differently, using different techniques and tooling, so their outputs and performance will also vary according to how their underlying products tackle each task.
AI Models
AI Models reflect a particular set of training and parameters that were released by the AI Providers once they are happy with the performance of that model for the objectives they were set.
These can be models primed for speed, accuracy, or expertise in specific tasks (such as coding, literature, finance, etc.), or cost-benefit goals such as AI Cost Savings with best possible answer given that constraint, or consistently best possible answer with higher costs, or more variatons.
It is also important to note that all Models come with various tooling on top before a Prompt reaches the final stage. This is important from an ethical AI perspective to control the use of AI for good of Humanity and remove harmful intent.
